EXCELLENTBased on 78 reviewsVerifiedKano H2024-06-11I loved it, I saw all others guests loved it, I think you will love it too. Very recommended for both retreat and teacher training course, if you are looking for an authentic yoga experience! You can get yoga(asana) classes, profound philosophy classes and relaxation sessions. They seem genuinely passionate about spreading peace by teaching yoga. You will be surprised how dedicated they have been in spiritual activities like yoga, meditation and many other practices for a long time. It is not a superficial monetizing yoga fitness studio, it is “home” to learn the real yoga life style. Also I can tell they always do their best to make better environment for their guests to make them feel home. It’s amazing how they keep the household clean and convenient while constantly taking care of the guests. They serve delicious vegetarian Nepali food and tea everyday too. The environment is also full of beautiful nature. You will feel so peaceful surrounded by trees, flowers, birds and animals. I was there for 35 days for 500 hours teacher training course and saw many people come and go, all of them left with contentment and happiness. You will not regret spending time with them! It’s worth much more than what you pay. I am so grateful I got my yoga teacher certificate from them, it was truly life changing!VerifiedMartin K2024-05-21Excellent yoga retreat - great for beginners! I stayed at Sambodhi Yoga Home for 4 days in April 2024. I had very little experience with yoga before, but it didn't matter as Vijay and Sajani gently introduced me to a wide variety of yoga exercises and meditations. My room was very comfortable, I felt at home and part of a family. Everything I needed was taken care of. At one point I had a headache and Sajani gave me a healing meditation which helped me get better. I enjoyed the delicious healthy veggie meals and relaxing in the peaceful gardens. I also had a great time on the hike to the nearby jungle where we saw the waterfall and did yoga in the nature. I also learned some valuable life lessons from the philosophy classes. Thank you for an amazing stay!!VerifiedJoey H2024-05-17Enlightening retreat A lovely family-run yoga and meditation retreat in a small village, just 30 minutes out of the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. I experienced Reiki and sound healing for the first time, and learned so much about yoga, meditation and healing from Vijay and Sajani throughout my stay there. They were very knowledgeable and imparted lots of valuable insights. The highlight of my trip was the hike to the nearby national park, where we did meditation and yoga in the tranquility of the forests. Simple joy. I highly recommend the experience!VerifiedBram B2024-05-17YTT with a lot of personal attention. Professional teachers and a very nice atmosphere Did 200 hours of yoga in 24 days. In addition to learning a lot about yoga, a lot of attention has also been paid to meditation. In addition to the regular lessons, I learned a lot about myself. I have found more depth in my own life and I am sure that this is partly due to what I was taught by Vijay and Sajini. Two very sweet people with a lot of knowledge about everything related to yoga. They have clearly been trained for years and have loads of experience. It's nice to see how they complement it. From the first moment I walked in I immediately felt more than welcome. Like I was part of the family. I also ate exceedingly every day. Something excellent was served three times a day. I feel happy and privileged to have spent his time with Sambodhi. I definitely recommend others to follow a teaching training here.VerifiedB V2024-05-13A Nepalese Home In “Demian” Herman Hesse writes: “Everyone’s life is a way into himself, or the attempt at a way, the hint of a path. No one is utterly and completely himself; everyone strives to become himself, however he can, this one dully, that one more brightly.” Sambodhi Yoga Home is one of those rare, precious places where we can search those ways into ourselves, where we are helped and challenged to become our true selves in life. Vijay and Sajani have a warm heart, an open mind and an incredible knowledge of different Yogic, Buddhist and Hindu traditions. But their approach is open and non-dogmatic: the rich explorations about Life are informed by Western philosophy and science as well. The fresh, home-cooked food is the best I’ve tasted in 4 months, the garden is beautiful and peaceful and the scenery close to Shivapuri National Park breathtaking. Sambodhi has been my home during my stay in Nepal and I can’t thank Vijay and Sajani enough for their wisdom, hospitality and friendship.VerifiedAnneli J2024-05-03enjoy an authentic experience close to nature Sajani and Vijay are highly experienced yogis. I learned so much during my stay and even extended a couple of days because I felt very comfortable. They open their heart and home to every guest, you get amazing yoga lessons, delicious homecooked nepalese food and stay on a property away from the plluted city. I can highly recommend and would definitely come back if I'd travel to Nepal again!Verifiedcorra112024-04-29The best yoga place in Nepal I’ve recently completed 200YTT at Sambodhi Yoga Home , went trekking and then returned back for a retreat for an extra 5 days. Veejay and Sajani are very gifted and experienced yoga teachers. The smaller group size was amazing as it felt like I had a personalised experience in an intimate setting . The yoga studio is in a beautiful sheltered outdoor bamboo setting surrounded by trees accompanied by soothing nature sounds of chirping birds and a near by stream - the setting is just perfect . I enjoyed learning chants and mantras, they really enriched my yoga practice . The philosophy classes had a huge impact on my overall experience, they got me come out my shell and I enjoyed our discussions, realisations, laughs and time together . Veejay’s immense knowledge of eastern philosophies, his warm hearted nature , eagerness to always learn, great sense of humour and open mind were just an extra bonus to this already wonderful and life changing experience. Sajani’s reiki and singing bowl session were an absolute bliss but she is also an incredible cook. We had fresh nutritious meals prepared daily and her dal bhat is the best ever!! The place is located on outskirts of Kathmandu , close to the gorgeous Shivapuri N.P. and I already miss my daily view of the mountain. I really enjoyed the location , we were 20mins from city and each time we went there it was just nice to come back home from the smog, noise, hassle and madness of Kathmandu. I particularly enjoyed strolls around Budhanilkatha, interacting with the beautiful smiley locals, the market, town square and all the lovely coffee shops. The yoga teaching course surpassed all my expectations. The perfect mix of yoga, chanting and pranayamas was exactly what I was looking for . I also loved our yoga hikes in a national park near by. I feel very fortunate to have found my special place in Nepal and look forward to return to Sambodhi soon.VerifiedRiccardo M2024-04-28Yoga ❤️ Amazing yoga and life experience! I will feel like at home! 5 amazing dat with a special teacher with the passion of yoga!VerifiedLaura B2024-03-16A home to learn and grow Sambodhi yoga home is exactly that; a home. Sajani and Visjay have created a bubble where everyone is fully welcome as their whole self. Together, we learn about the practice with attention not just for the yoga poses but for all the wisdom which surrounds it. Vijyay’s yoga classes have a serenity and a cadence to them. Sajani has a way of embracing any changes of plans with an ease that speaks to her insight. Their daughter Rhitambara is the cutest, smartest child I’ve met. She will gift you leaves and stones over dinner as a way to build your friendship. Kamala, who helps in the kitchen and around the house, brings a sweet joy to every meal simply with her smile. Speaking of the food; it is healthy and absolutely delicious. The house is surrounded by a garden and close to a park, offering the comfort of nature while being close to the city centre. My partner and I were supposed to stay for a few days and ended up spending weeks in this special place and learning from the people that shape it. I recommend it greatly.VerifiedAlexander Couppis2024-03-13An exzellent experience Vijay and Sajani have created a wonderful place to unwind and relax. The retreat is located in a quiet outskirt of Kathmandu, not far from the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. The house is surrounded by trees and plants with a great view to the mountains. There is a fireplace and a pavilion where the daily philosophy lessons take place. The rooms are well equipped and cleaned regularly. Vijay and Sajani's knowledge of Yoga and eastern philosophy is profound and based on a rich experience. The Yaga classes are intensive and cover a wide range. But there is also space to have fun or take a short trip to the nearby cafe. I can recommend this place without any exception!
